News, Big and Small

I have added My Wife Has MS blog to my list of links. Interesting to read a partner's view of life with someone who has MS. I'm sorry to see that Anne has deleted her blog, Disabled Not Dead. I thought she had wanted to keep it as an information source and a valuable one it was.

Have read several news stories about the rise in candy and chocolate sales. People want a treat in bad times. This is good news for my son, who has a new part time job working in a candy factory. I don't know why they call it a part time job when the shifts are 11 hours. He still works at the pasta factory, one night per week.
I'll be glad when the school term is over as I think he's taken on too much. He is mostly likely annoyed reading this. Teenagers can't handle mother love.

Also in the news. I never in my life thought I would agree with Newt Gingrich, about the bailout mess. Life keeps getting stranger. Notice AIG has removed their sign on the headquarters building ? Guess they are getting worried they might get kidnapped like the boss in France, or attacked like they bank boss in England.

Also I was totally disgusted with Fox news and their ridicule of Canadian troops in Afghanistan. Yes you dummies Canada, is in Afghanistan, and four of our soldiers died there this past week. I'm not in favour of them being there, but I will defend them, just as you defend your own. Any wonder the world thinks so little of America ?

I'm home today. Feeling a bit better now, after a rotten evening last night and a not so great sleep. The usual tingling pain mess.It didn't help yesterday that a meeting was canceled after me rearranging my schedule to attend. What is it with people that they don't check their own agenda properly before they make appointments, or is it that they simply don't care?

Have to get back to writing my report for work a.k.a.: The ridiculous soap opera that has become my job.

Fun While It Lasted

A couple of weeks ago I joined Wellsphere, a health website, only to find out today it's been taken over by Health Central. Which is too bad as I'm a believer in " smaller is better". If it remains a separate entity I will stick around, otherwise, I'll pass . Not that I have anything against Health Central, it's just too big and they already have loads of MS bloggers on it. I'll have to get rid of my little award too. I put it on here simply to direct traffic to the site, because I thought it was worth checking out. It's really just a symbolic award and has no significance. I would hate anyone to get the idea that I'm some big MS expert. No, I don't think I'll ever figure it out.

Had an awful day. I was a zombie and this tingling is a nuisance. Nothing makes it go away.

If the weather isn't too bad tomorrow I'll get the camera out again I'm taking part in a small photo project. A lady in Taiwan sent me a postcard with a picture of a teddy bear on it that her artist friend made. I have to take the card and take a photo of it. I think a shot of a big pile of snow will be a typical Canadian scene and we have lots of it right now. I'll post the pictures here on the weekend if I take any.
Now I have to go have a look at herrad's blog, so I can post a link to it.

Blogs Wine Pot and Pepper Mint

A cold, gloomy, rainy, day, didn't do much to lift my mood. I'm a bit down in the dumps and very, very, tired.

Ran across a few more MS blogs this evening:
Here's a new one: Life with MS No Balance by a former nurse and resident of Illinois.

Another blog by another nurse, Robin at Surviving Multiple Sclerosis
Then there's Laura at One Day at a Time and this guy who been blogging since 2004 at The Crazilynsane Multiple Sclerosis Blog

This blog India Songs on Demand has links to many MS videos.

Too many blogs to read, it's addictive !

Also read some articles about red wine, pot, and pepper mint oil massages, being beneficial to treat MS. They might be worth a try for some people. Myself, I'm already enough of a space cadet I don't need pot and I can't drink much these days so I guess the wine is out. The peppermint massage does sound appealing though.

AIDS maybe 100 years old

Tomorrow is my Health Canada assessment in Toronto. Have to catch the morning GO bus and then depending on how I feel and how much time I have, I might walk up Bay St. to the doctor.Need some time to clear my mind and walking always helps. I'm looking forward to the appointment and dreading it at the same time. I'm sick of repeating my sorry tale. Let's hope some good comes of it.

Good Boss Bad Boss

Quick post tonight as I forgot it's Monday Martial Arts, movie night .
If you ever have a really nice boss at work stay away from him/her , because you will get spoiled
and won't be able to cope when you get an idiot boss. That is my situation right now,and I'm really
at the end of my rope. Not only are they dragging their feet with my medical accommodation, now this jerk wants to take away the few things I had, such as my one day a week working at home.
He says he wants to wait for an official decision.
It's not like I'm a slacker either. I always make sure I meet my budget demands and am always on time.
I had nine good years with a boss who was a genuine human being . I cried at his retirement party because I knew there would never be another like him. Boy! was I right . I forgot what a bunch of creeps these guys can be.
Have two more MS blogs in my links which I have to take time to read another night . Fingolimod and Me and White Lightning Axion Redux, who's author referred me to them. Thanks !
Well tonight I'm the zombie woman , so tired. I can't think straight to say anything intelligent, so it's time to quit.
